Печальное известие пришло из города Электросталь. на 81 году жизни умер Виктор Семёнович Рожков.
Ковид не щадит ни кого.
Царство ему небесное.

Dear Bureau members, Dear Spacemodellers,
I received the sad message that Soviet and Russian Spacemodelling legend - Victor Rozhkov passed away at age 81.
Since the first days when the Soviet Union joined International Spacemodelling competitions in the mid 70's Victor Rozhkov was an active member of Soviet team. That he was an exceptional sportsman shows the fact that at the first appearance of the Soviet team at Spacemodelling World Championships (Bulgaria 1978) - he won a bronze medal in S6 (streamer duration). This medal started the successful line of medal winning of the Soviet (later Russian) team which lasts till today. Many of his ideas and innovations on his models were applied as standards and can be seen till today.
That Victor Rozhkov was an "all around talent" show his many publications in the form of books and magazine articles - for several decades he almost on monthly basis contributed to the Russian hobby magazine "Modelist-Konstruktor". His published drawings for scale model rockets are used all around the world.
Victor Rozhkovs' biggest passion was to educate the younger generation - many of his students became later National, World and Continental Champions and World Cup winners. Victor Rozhkov was always a calm and friendly person, always willing to help where and how he could.
With the passing of Victor Rozhkov, Spacemodelling has lost a good friend and a big person, but he and his work will remain unforgotten.

От увлечения к профессии! Через всю жизнь этот девиз пронес педагог Станции юных техников Виктор Семенович Рожков. За свою самоотверженную многолетнюю деятельность он был награжден медалью ордена «За заслуги перед Отечеством» II степени, медалями «За доблестный труд», «За трудовое отличие». Более 60 лет Виктор Семенович отдал родному СЮТу. Прославленный педагог ушел из жизни 8 января 2021 года. Новый выпуск программы «Городские легенды» мы посвящаем этому светлому человеку, который научил сотни своих воспитанников мечтать и достигать намеченной цели.
